WASHINGTON EXAMINER: Former White House Spokesman Sean Spicer is a strong defender of most of what his former boss does and says, but he breaks when it comes to President Trump’s claim that the media is “the enemy of the American people.”
Asked by Mo Elleithee, executive director of Georgetown University’s Institute of Politics and Public Service, if Trump is right, Spicer said “no.”
At a student event earlier this week, part of Spicer's book tour to tout "The Briefing," he called on the president to shift his strategy.
“I believe that the more and most effective strategy is to call out the bad and to exalt the good so that you can differentiate and say, ‘These are the people you should be like, those are the kind of stories that are good. These are the people that are bad or the stories that are wrong.’”
