About Us

On The Record is the flagship student-run online publication affiliated with Georgetown’s Institute of Politics and Public Service (GU Politics). Founded in 2018 by Georgetown undergraduate students, we provide a nonpartisan platform for students to share their political and policy analysis and contribute to the political conversation in Washington and beyond.

Have a perspective on politics worth sharing? We welcome submissions from GU students who want to go beyond reporting to develop thoughtful and insightful arguments.

We recommend articles of around 700 words, but we’re flexible. To submit an article or ask a question, email us at ontherecord@georgetown.edu.
