GU Politics Announces Spring 2021 Fellows
CARLY KABOT: GU Politics announced a new cohort of fellows for the upcoming spring semester on its website Tuesday morning. This incredible group brings a diverse set of backgrounds, areas of expertise and perspectives on the nation’s most pressing issues. From veterans of the White House to the newsroom, this lineup of high-profile fellows is ready to take on Georgetown.
Among this semester’s fellows is Guy Benson, the Political Editor of Townhall.com, a Fox News Contributor, and host of Fox News Radio’s nationally-syndicated Guy Benson Show. This list also features Anatole Jenkins, the National Director of States Organizing for Joe Biden for President, and the Former National Organizing Director, Kamala Harris for President. Joining them are Former United States Senator Dough Jones (D-AL), Chair of the Democratic National Committee and Former U.S. Secretary of Labor Tom Perez and Washington Bureau Chief of The Associated Press Julie Pace. The last member of this impressive cohort is Sara Sendek, the former Director of Public Affairs, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and former White House Director of Rapid Response during the Bush Administration.
Now moving into its twelfth consecutive semester, the Fellows Program gives students unparalleled access to some of the most prominent names in politics, government and media. Whether by attending fellows’ office hours, joining weekly discussion groups, or by applying to join a Student Strategy Team, there are many opportunities for students to take advantage of the Fellows Program.
As part of a Student Strategy Team, students have the unique chance to work one-on-one with this extraordinary group of practitioners in politics and public service. Students on each of the fellows’ teams help drive the conversation by helping with campus outreach, brainstorming and tackling ways to solve a variety of our country’s most complex political problems.
The application for serving on a Student Strategy Team opened this morning and can be found here. For more information on Student Strategy Teams, check out the GU Politics website.
Students will first get to meet the fellows on Friday, January 29, at the GU Politics Fellows Open House to learn more about what these fellows have in store for the semester.
